📋 Description

• Conduct and manage workplace investigations involving employee relations concerns, misconduct, fraud, workplace violence, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and other employment-related matters • Independently lead investigations from intake through resolution • Conduct witness interviews, evidence review, fact-finding, and report preparation • Provide legal guidance on employment law, workplace compliance, and employee relations matters • Collaborate with client stakeholders, Human Resources teams, compliance professionals, and business leaders • Implement appropriate corrective actions • Draft investigation plans, witness interview summaries, investigation reports, findings, and related documentation • Advise clients on applicable employment laws, workplace policies, and HIPAA requirements where relevant • Manage sensitive and confidential legal issues across multiple industries • Monitor employment law developments, investigation best practices, and regulatory changes to provide proactive counsel

🎯 Requirements

• At least three (3) years of experience in employment law, workplace investigations, employee relations, or a related practice area • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and workplace investigation practices • Experience conducting or supporting workplace investigations, including employee relations, fraud, and workplace violence matters • Proven ability to independently manage investigations and advise clients on employment-related risks and compliance issues • Familiarity with HIPAA and privacy-related compliance requirements • Excellent communication, interviewing, legal writing, technology, and problem-solving skills • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree • Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction • Employment may be contingent upon successful completion of a background check • Must provide proof of identity and possess necessary legal authorization to work
