📋 Description

• Prepare, draft, and prosecute U.S. and international patent applications across a variety of technical disciplines • Develop and manage strategic patent portfolios aligned with clients' business objectives • Partner with inventors, engineers, scientists, and business stakeholders to identify and protect new innovations • Conduct invention disclosure reviews, patentability assessments, and freedom-to-operate analyses • Provide strategic counseling on patent prosecution, portfolio development, licensing, and intellectual property risk • Coordinate with outside counsel and foreign associates on global patent prosecution matters • Support technology commercialization, licensing, and innovation initiatives • Stay current on developments in patent law and emerging technologies affecting clients' businesses

🎯 Requirements

• 6–15+ years of experience in patent preparation and prosecution • Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active license to practice law • Registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) • Strong patent drafting and prosecution experience in one or more of the following technical areas: • Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) • Mechanical Engineering • Chemical Engineering • Computer Science / Software • Artificial Intelligence • Energy Storage & Battery Technologies • Electrical Engineering • Life Sciences • Excellent written communication and technical drafting skills • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional business and technical teams
