📋 Description

• Analyze the creditworthiness of new and established customers according to departmental and corporate thresholds, policies, and procedures • Review and analyze financial statements, credit reports, tax returns, public information, and other relevant financial documents • Evaluate risk associated with extending credit using financial data, market conditions, and industry trends • Use credit scoring models and tools to assign credit scores and ratings • Collect and verify information from credit bureaus, financial statements, tax returns, and customer interviews • Prepare comprehensive credit reports with financial assessments, risk levels, and approval or denial recommendations • Present findings and credit recommendations to senior management, underwriters, or loan committees • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and lending standards • Communicate with applicants, lenders, and other stakeholders to gather information and explain credit decisions • Contribute to credit policy and procedure development and refinement • Monitor the credit performance of existing loans and credit lines and suggest remedial actions • Stay informed about industry trends, economic conditions, and credit-market changes affecting lending decisions

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field or 5+ years’ work experience • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial statement analysis • Knowledge of risk assessment techniques • Familiarity with regulatory guidelines and compliance requirements related to lending and credit • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team • Proficiency in financial software and data analysis tools • Problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on available information • Prior experience in credit analysis or a related role is advantageous • Must successfully pass a credit check, criminal background check, and pre-employment drug screening, including marijuana screening • Must meet U.S. employment eligibility requirements through E-Verify/right-to-work verification
