📋 Description

• Own and evolve Babylist’s AWS infrastructure using Terraform • Keep EKS clusters, databases, and core services current, performant, and secure • Ship tested tools and services with runbooks and self-service workflows • Build secure, versioned, tested Terraform modules for least-privilege access, secrets, and workload isolation • Maintain fast and dependable CI/CD with dependency scanning, container scanning, secret detection, and short-lived deployment credentials • Support engineers across local, staging, and production environments • Define SLOs and actionable monitoring and alerting standards • Use incident trends to prioritize reliability improvements • Validate backups, restore procedures, and failover paths through regular recovery tests • Lead or support incident response and drive post-incident reviews • Shape the long-term infrastructure roadmap • Lead cross-team platform initiatives from design through rollout, adoption, and ongoing operation • Mentor engineers

🎯 Requirements

• Strong software engineering skills; experience shipping and operating production-quality tools or services with tests, code review, and maintainable interfaces • Experience personally designing, implementing, and operating security controls for access, workload identity, secrets, or network isolation • Deep hands-on Terraform expertise • Proven AWS experience at scale, including EKS, RDS, cloud networking, DNS, CDNs, and load balancers • Experience operating Kubernetes in production • Experience designing and improving CI/CD systems, such as CircleCI or GitHub Actions • Strong observability experience with tools such as Datadog, Sentry, PagerDuty, or Cronitor • Experience with on-call and incident management, including post-mortems • Ability to support developers across local, staging, and production environments • Regular use of AI tools and curiosity about emerging AI capabilities
