📋 Description

• Coordinate and process inbound and outbound calls and tasks for several facilities and the community • Provide quality customer service and accurate information to internal and external customers • Process incoming, outgoing, interdepartmental and community calls, emails and other correspondence • Process high volumes of calls professionally, confidentially and courteously according to facility guidelines • Maintain physician referral and class/event schedule information in databases and documentation • Access facility, patient and organizational information using computers, telephones, web-based software, databases and intranet resources • Complete scheduling and physician referral functions for internal and external contacts • Process payments and ensure security and confidentiality of electronic credit card payments, adjustments, correspondence and refunds • Perform office and clerical support tasks including copying, faxing and communicating with patients and staff • Maintain class/event schedules and physician profiles while ensuring confidentiality • Collaborate with departments, staff and customers across several facilities to ensure efficient operations

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge • Reading, writing and math skills • General knowledge of operations in a telephone/customer service environment, specifically with a call center and/or switchboard telephone system, normally demonstrated through one to two years of experience • Excellent oral and written communication and listening skills • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with computer keyboards • Ability to prioritize and make sound decisions following established department policies, procedures and standards • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment with frequent interruptions • Ability to learn and apply department procedures to react quickly to emergency situations and process calls within defined standards • Ability to work cohesively in a team environment, as well as train and act as a mentor to peers • Hospital switchboard experience strongly preferred • Additional related education and/or experience preferred
