📋 Description

• Perform the department's credentialing work according to policies and procedures • Obtain primary source information for organizational facilities and entities • Maintain records and integrity of highly confidential information • Perform timely and complete credentialing processes • Analyze credentialing information and conduct appropriate follow-up • Acquire necessary materials and information from physicians, facility staff, professional staff, and physicians’ office staff • Enter relevant data into the database and ensure data consistency and integrity • Process queries for expired licensure and other regulatory credentialing requirements • Maintain credentialing documentation in the database • Manage assigned duties independently and exercise judgment on complex and sensitive credentialing issues • Handle physician inquiries and problems within the scope of the role • Keep supervisors apprised of issues • Establish daily work priorities and contribute to maintaining the credentialing process • Provide optimal customer service to internal and external customers

🎯 Requirements

• Associate’s degree • Three years of credentialing and/or process management and operations experience • Strong knowledge of business and/or healthcare • Basic knowledge of medical terminology • Knowledge of medical staff organization • Extensive knowledge of credentialing procedures • Experience interacting with physicians, allied health professionals, office credentialing representatives, and hospital personnel • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Astute judgment in human relations • Ability to meet deadlines in a multi-functional task environment • Excellent organizational skills • Operational knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, data entry, fax machines, and other computer-related skills • Ability to establish daily work priorities and work efficiently • Ability to provide optimal customer service • Remote work limited to applicants residing in Arizona, California, Colorado, Nebraska, Nevada, or Wyoming • Monday–Friday availability, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. • NCPCS certification preferred • Additional related education and/or experience preferred
