📋 Description

• Supervise day-to-day financial accounting and reporting functions for a significant business segment • Oversee Medicare Advantage Plans, Capital Assets, and Home Care • Lead a team of five Accountants and Senior Accountants • Hire, train, conduct performance evaluations, and direct staff workflow • Develop and implement goals and objectives • Manage timely and accurate general ledger closing, financial reporting, and reconciliations for multiple facilities and assigned business lines • Maintain the financial reporting database and provide training for accounting and business-line staff • Complete or review general ledger account reconciliations, including those for annual external audits • Serve as a technical resource on accounting and reporting issues • Coordinate consistent application of GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley provisions • Research and correct errors, including system setup and procedural issues • Participate in design, implementation, training, and testing for new financial applications and process automation • Support corporate operations and address business-line problems • Interact with department managers, operations CFOs, finance personnel, IT, and external auditors

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required • Seven years of experience in health care, including general ledger accounting and sophisticated reporting systems • Excellent analytical and communication skills • Ability to work with minimal supervision and organize, coordinate, and motivate a work team • Comprehensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) • Understanding of financial reporting and databases • Ability to use complex spreadsheets • MBA preferred • CPA preferred • Additional related education and/or experience preferred
