📋 Description

• Build, lead, and scale Agility Robotics’ Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting function • Establish scalable SEC reporting processes in a newly public company environment • Manage external advisory partners • Drive reporting innovation and deploy modern tools for financial reporting and compliance • Serve as subject matter expert on revenue recognition (ASC 606), leases (ASC 842), stock-based compensation (ASC 718), valuation analysis, and complex transactions • Draft, update, and enforce audit-ready technical white papers and company-wide accounting policies • Develop, implement, and maintain SOX compliance frameworks and internal controls over financial reporting • Lead preparation, review, and filing of SEC Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K, ensuring SEC, US GAAP, and XBRL compliance • Collaborate with IR and FP&A on earnings releases, investor presentations, non-GAAP reconciliations, and conference call scripts • Manage external valuation specialists, technical accounting consultants, and tax advisory firms • Liaise with external auditors and legal counsel on deliverables and timelines • Establish workflows, financial reporting calendars, and public-company compliance standards • Support the NetSuite ERP implementation and align system architecture and posting logic with technical GAAP standards • Evaluate and implement reporting technologies, automation tools, and software solutions • Recruit, hire, and scale high-performing accounting talent

🎯 Requirements

• 12+ years of progressive accounting experience • Combination of public accounting background and in-house public company reporting and technical accounting experience • CPA or Chartered Accountant designation • Direct public company experience with hands-on ownership of SEC Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K and SEC compliance • Deep knowledge of US GAAP, SEC regulations, XBRL, and ASC 606, ASC 842, and ASC 718 • Proven experience managing external specialists, auditors, and consultants under strict deadlines • Experience recruiting, hiring, and scaling accounting talent • Familiarity with modern financial ecosystems and reporting technologies • Current authorization to work in the United States • Direct exposure to NetSuite environments preferred • Strong executive presence and experience explaining complex accounting topics to leadership and auditors • Ability to design internal controls across accounting operations without a dedicated internal audit team • Adaptability and problem-solving skills in a newly public environment
