📋 Description

• Lead enterprise-scale solution design aligned with Banner Health’s mission and healthcare objectives • Design complex, multi-domain healthcare solutions using Azure, AWS, and hybrid architectures • Architect AI/ML-enabled applications for predictive analytics, clinical decision support, and operational efficiency • Define and enforce architecture governance and compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, PCI, NIST 800-53, and internal security standards • Develop cloud adoption roadmaps, including Azure or AWS Landing Zones and hybrid connectivity • Evaluate and select vendor solutions while balancing innovation, cost, compliance, and operational readiness • Create and maintain architectural artifacts, archetypes, reference architectures, and capability roadmaps • Provide thought leadership in AI ethics, data governance, and healthcare-specific deployment strategies • Collaborate with enterprise architects, executives, clinicians, IT leaders, senior leadership, stakeholders, and vendor partners • Mentor junior staff and architects or engineers • Translate platform capabilities for analytics leaders and teach data engineers coding standards, CI/CD practices, and Gold-layer development patterns • Design PHI-compliant Databricks data patterns and define Bronze-to-Gold data movement, entity resolution, and claims-data handling standards

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience • 10 years of progressive IT experience in development, infrastructure, or systems analysis • 4+ years of solution or enterprise architecture experience • Must obtain one or more listed architecture certifications within one year of hire: Microsoft Certified Azure Solution Architect Expert, AWS Certified Solution Architect Professional, Google Professional Cloud Architect, TOGAF Certified Architect, or ITIL Intermediate • Proven experience in cloud-based healthcare solutions, including AI/ML deployments • Strong understanding of healthcare compliance, interoperability, and security • Preferred: 5+ years of experience in healthcare or a regulated industry • Preferred: 5+ years of experience designing solutions utilizing AI components • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) • Proven mentorship of junior architects or engineers • Preferred certifications: Microsoft Certified Cybersecurity Architect Expert, AWS Certified Machine Learning Specialty, Salesforce Certified Technical Architect • Monday through Friday, 8am–5pm Arizona time zone • Must live in one of the listed eligible states
