📋 Description

• Obtain and verify demographic and insurance information, including authorizations, referrals, and notifications for diagnostic, surgical, therapy, admissions/observations, and other procedures/treatments. • Schedule patients' initial, follow-up, and add-on appointments/procedures, as applicable. • Work in a call center-type environment and meet individual quality metrics, including productivity, accuracy, and customer service QA. • Coordinate patient flow and ensure timely processing. • Maintain knowledge and deployment of department, physician practice, and hospital procedures to address patient questions or concerns. • Maintain knowledge of insurance requirements, Baptist Health South Florida pricing, financial assistance options, and overall revenue cycle operations. • Provide professional, compassionate, and friendly service to patients, families, employees, physicians, and community members.

🎯 Requirements

• High School, Cert, GED, Trn, Exper. • Complete and successfully pass the Patient Access training course. • Ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced work environment. • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. • Detail oriented, organized, team player, compassionate, excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills. • Basic knowledge of medical and insurance terminology is desired. • Experience with computer applications, including Microsoft Office and EMR applications, and accurate typing skills. • Knowledge of regulatory guidelines including HIPAA, AHCA, EMTALA, and Medicare coverage structure, including medical necessity compliance guidelines. • Bilingual English, Spanish/Creole. • Less than 1 year of experience required.
