âą Schedule patient appointments for diagnostic, surgical, therapy, physician office visits, and other procedures/treatments âą Obtain and verify demographic and insurance information âą Register patients and enter data into the scheduling system âą Work in a call center environment âą Meet individual quality metrics âą Provide professional, compassionate, and friendly service to patients, families, employees, physicians, and community members
âą High school, certificate, GED, training, or experience âą Complete and pass the Patient Access training course âą Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment âą Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations âą Detail-oriented and organized âą Team player with compassion and excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills âą Basic knowledge of medical and insurance terminology desired âą Experience with computer applications, including Microsoft Office and EMR applications âą Accurate typing skills âą Knowledge of HIPAA, AHCA, EMTALA, and Medicare coverage structure, including medical necessity compliance guidelines âą Bilingual English, Spanish/Creole preferred âą Less than 1 year of minimum required experience
