📋 Description

• Oversee all daily departmental operations • Proactively address employee, patient, and organizational needs in a timely and consistent manner • Build positive relationships within Baptist Health South Florida • Oversee patient flow across multiple service lines, departments, offices, and sites • Manage staff and coordinate and prioritize work assignments • Provide professional, compassionate, and friendly service to patients of all ages, families, employees, physicians, and community members • Practice the Baptist Health South Florida philosophy of service excellence

🎯 Requirements

• Associate‘s Degree in Healthcare required with a minimum of 3 years in a Supervisory and/or Lead capacity, preferably in Patient Access, with extensive knowledge of insurance benefits, collections, authorizations/pre-certifications • In lieu of an Associate‘s Degree, a minimum of 4 years‘ supervisory and/or lead experience in Patient Access or healthcare setting with extensive knowledge of insurance benefits, collections, authorizations/pre-certifications is required • Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) preferred • Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal & written), and customer service skills required • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and analytical skills • Able to understand and implement performance improvement, including collecting and analyzing data, identifying processes, and implementing process change • Ability to multi-task work assignments in a high volume, fast-paced stressful environment • Proficient using all Patient Access applications and Microsoft Office products • Knowledge of medical necessity compliance guidelines, ICD-10 and CPT code structure • Knowledge of healthcare regulatory guidelines including HIPAA, AHCA, EMTALA, etc. • Bilingual English, Spanish/Creole preferred
