📋 Description
• Schedule patients for diagnostic tests and procedures ordered by referring physicians, generally via Epic, fax, or telephone • Handle a large volume of incoming calls or faxes • Schedule multiple procedures across multiple departments • Serve as the first point of contact for patients and physician offices • Provide expert customer service and communication to assist patients and office staff • Inform patients and physician staff about preparation and instructions for ordered tests • Identify required precertifications, authorizations, and referrals • Maintain effective communication with patients, physician offices, and ancillary hospital departments • Complete pre-registration, payment estimates, insurance verification, and benefit evaluation before appointments • Retain orders for all scheduled appointments before service
🎯 Requirements
• High School diploma or equivalent • Must type 45-50 wpm • Registration or Scheduling Experience Preferred
