📋 Description

• Analyze laboratory workflows and translate them into Epic Beaker functionality and customizations for Baylor Genetics • Build and maintain Epic-to-external-system interfaces with the Epic Bridges Analyst using HL7, X12, FHIR, and related technologies • Share configurations with the technology team and support workflow testing • Define, triage, and document Epic Aura compendium build requests • Perform data analysis and provide reporting support for laboratory operations • Analyze laboratory workflows and identify digital optimization opportunities using Epic Beaker • Partner with laboratory leadership and clinical teams to gather requirements and translate them into system solutions • Document and standardize laboratory procedures within the Epic framework • Support and troubleshoot connections between Epic Beaker and laboratory information systems • Support HL7 messaging and integration testing • Provide go-live, upgrade, and new Aura implementation support • Create and maintain documentation for configurations, workflows, SOPs, and change requests • Train laboratory staff, clinical end-users, and IT support teams on Beaker features and best practices

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent education and/or experience is required • Epic Beaker Certification • 2+ years of experience supporting Epic Beaker or a similar LIS • Epic Aura and Bridges experience is preferred • Familiarity with HL7, FHIR, API-based interoperability, and digital health workflows • Experience with clinical laboratory operations and genetic testing workflows • Knowledge of HIPAA, PHI data security, and regulatory compliance in healthcare IT • Familiarity with programming is preferred • Expertise in LIMS • Expertise in RESTful APIs • Expertise in Epic Bridges • Expertise in HL7 • Expertise in FHIR interoperability • Expertise in healthcare systems integration • Expertise in interface development • Expertise in Epic Beaker • Expertise in Epic Aura • Expertise in Care Everywhere • Expertise in interface testing and validation • Expertise in UAT • Expertise in system integration • Expertise in X12 • Expertise in API integration • Epic certification expertise • Expertise in SQL
