📋 Description
• Oversee verification of patient eligibility and benefits for all insurance payers, ensuring information accuracy and completeness • Identify and resolve eligibility discrepancies to prevent billing and reimbursement delays • Handle complex and escalated eligibility issues with payers and other departments • Mentor and guide junior eligibility specialists on advanced problems, challenging cases, best practices, and procedures • Collaborate with billing, coding, and payer relations teams to proactively address eligibility and benefit verification issues • Maintain current eligibility information in payer systems • Monitor changes in payer policies and insurance coverage requirements to reduce claim denials • Generate and review reports on eligibility verification, payer-specific trends, discrepancies, and best practices • Analyze performance reports, identify trends and improvement areas, and share insights with management
