• Collaborate with Cancer Care Leadership to ensure high-quality and safe interpretation, delivery, operation, and monitoring of radiation safety policies, procedures, standards, and equipment • Ensure delivery of high-quality radiation therapy • Provide staff with appropriate education and training • Provide oversight to minimize radiation exposure • Implement and abide by Customer Service Standards • Support and implement patient safety and other safety practices • Demonstrate Family-Centered Care principles when interacting with patients, families, and coworkers • Travel to new installations to commission linear accelerators and treatment planning systems • Support oncology solution delivery and clinical implementation across radiation treatment sites
• M.S. or PhD in Medical Physics or a closely related field required for the listed roles • Clinical Transition and Implementation Physicist: minimum 2 years of post-graduate physics experience in a similarly sized program • Medical Physicist roles: minimum 2 years of clinical experience in addition to a CAMPEP-accredited residency • Senior Medical Physicist roles: minimum 3+ years of clinical experience in addition to a CAMPEP-accredited residency • Commissioning role: minimum 10 years in a Clinical Medical Physics role • Certification in Radiation Oncology Physics by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or equivalent certifying body is required for applicable roles; some postings state certification is preferred • Candidates not certified for specified roles must be eligible for board certification and achieve certification within 3 years of hire • Experience with computerized treatment planning and comparable computerized simulator/accelerator required for the Clinical Transition and Implementation role • Experience with clinical radiation oncology platforms, including linear accelerators, surface guidance, EMR and R&V systems, HDR afterloaders, treatment planning systems, ion chambers, electrometers, and image analysis software • Experience with High Dose Rate (HDR) and Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS) programs preferred for applicable roles • Computer system administration experience with patient record and verify database applications desirable for applicable roles • Ability to work with controlled technology in accordance with US export control law • Up to 50% travel for the Clinical Transition and Implementation role; 50–75% travel for the Commissioning role
