📋 Description

• Modify and/or adapt the K12 curriculum to align with state content standards and meet each student’s unique needs • Write and maintain compliant IEPs for students with special needs • Collaborate with general education teachers to meet student goals • Educate parents on instructional strategies • Prepare appropriate documentation • Coordinate and facilitate IEP meetings • Proctor achievement and required testing, including alternative assessments when required • Collaborate with related services teams to develop and monitor IEP goals • Teach students independent living, literacy, communication, and math skills • Travel as needed, up to 20% of the time

🎯 Requirements

• State of Ohio Intervention Specialist License • Bachelor’s degree • Equivalent combination of education and experience • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio • Web proficiency • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Strong presentation skills • Organizational and multitasking abilities • Ability to work independently without direct supervision • Flexible schedule • Ability to travel as needed, up to 20% of the time • Ability to pass a required background check • Minimum 1 year of classroom experience preferred • Master’s degree with an emphasis in Special Education preferred • 3 or more years of classroom experience in Special Education preferred • Ability to maintain a professional home office without distractions during typical school hours
