📋 Description

• Perform first-level triage of events, including running scripts to restart system processes and services • Analyze, diagnose, and resolve system errors, malfunctions, misconfigurations, and job stoppages • Monitor production environments and respond to operational alerts • Support scheduled and unscheduled batch processing • Process output produced from nightly batch • Rename, catalog, and uncatalog data sets on tapes and disk • Troubleshoot failed jobs and operational exceptions • Support workload scheduling requests • Escalate and help resolve incidents affecting business-critical services • Work in a 24/7/365 operations environment with rotating weekend, holiday, and overtime assignments

🎯 Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Business, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience required • One year of technical experience including knowledge and proven understanding of ITIL required • Equivalent experience may substitute for education at one year of technical experience for every year of college requested • Ability to follow established procedures in a fast-paced operational environment • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple responsibilities • Willingness to learn and grow within an enterprise IT environment • Prior experience in IT support, help desk, technical support, or related technology role preferred • Exposure to systems monitoring, incident management, or production support preferred • Basic understanding of networking, operating systems, or enterprise technology environments preferred • Experience in customer service or operations-focused environments preferred • Experience troubleshooting technical issues and escalating incidents appropriately preferred • Working knowledge of mainframe processes and workload automation tools • Working knowledge of enterprise monitoring tools and trouble ticketing systems • Working knowledge of Windows and Unix operating systems, including AIX, Solaris, or HPUX • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Conflict management and resolution skills • Adaptability to a fast-paced and changing environment • Ability to work Tuesday through Saturday, 3:30 p.m. to midnight EST • Ability to work flexible shifts in a 24/7/365 environment, including mandatory rotating weekend, holiday, and overtime assignments • Sponsorship is not available
