📋 Description

• Transform critical internal claims applications into modern browser-based applications • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Vue.js 3+, TypeScript, and modern front-end technologies • Partner with business analysts, product owners, technical leads, and backend developers • Serve as the front-end subject matter expert for the team • Drive UI modernization efforts and establish development best practices • Mentor other developers and provide guidance and training to less-experienced analysts/programmers • Help shape the future architecture of internal applications supporting core business operations • Build scalable, reusable components • Integrate front-end applications with RESTful APIs and enterprise backend services • Implement secure authentication solutions using OAuth/OpenID Connect • Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality • Formulate and define system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding • Design, develop, modify, or integrate complex information systems • Devise or modify application systems and procedures to optimize capacity, operating time, response time, and desired results • Design, code, test, debug, and document programs, subroutines, and scripts • Serve as project lead, business systems analyst, or technical lead for small to medium efforts, or manage phases of medium to large efforts • Maintain technical skills in software languages, databases, platforms, operating systems, utilities, and networks • Respond to system failures and performance events to reduce downtime and prevent recurrence • Support technical best practices and UI modernization initiatives

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience required • Equivalent years of experience: one year of technical experience for every year of college requested • 1 year of experience with information technology concepts, application development methodology, terminology, and standards • 3 years of systems and programming experience • 1 year of expert working knowledge of at least one programming language in use at BCBST • Hands-on experience with Vue.js 3+, TypeScript, Single Page Applications (SPAs), PrimeVue or similar enterprise UI frameworks, REST API integrations, and OAuth/OpenID Connect authentication • Experience with Tailwind CSS, component library design, state management frameworks such as Pinia, Agile development practices, automated testing, and integrating front-end applications with enterprise backend services • Proven skill with information technology in use at BCBST • Proven analysis, design, and coding skills • Demonstrated success leading large and complex projects • Ability to interpret and translate technical and/or complex concepts into meaningful information for project team members and/or business personnel • Organized, reliable, able to manage multiple tasks, and exceptional work ethic • Leadership skills • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical co-workers • Candidates must be available to work Eastern Standard Time (EST) business hours • Sponsorship is not available for this role
