📋 Description

• Lead Medical Affairs strategy and execution for the Advanced Diagnostics Division • Collaborate with R&D, marketing, sales, and regulatory teams • Identify evidence gaps and contribute to real-world evidence, clinical research, and publication strategies • Serve as a scientific advisor for internal teams and external stakeholders • Monitor industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to inform strategies • Partner with laboratory medicine organizations and represent the company at conferences, events, and with key opinion leaders • Provide strategic guidance to product development teams • Lead adoption of AI-enabled tools for operational efficiency, reporting, and workflow management • Establish and evolve metrics to measure Medical Affairs performance and impact • Translate complex medical/scientific data into actionable business insights • Foster collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning across the organization • Mentor and coach team members in professional development and growth

🎯 Requirements

• Advanced medical or scientific degree in the life sciences or related field • 10+ years of experience as Director of a Clinical Microbiology Laboratory or equivalent leadership roles in laboratory medicine, infectious disease diagnostics, or precision medicine environments preferred • Demonstrated leadership and team management experience • In-depth knowledge of emerging infectious-disease diagnostic technology, scientific study design and implementation, and study data analysis • Extensive experience conducting and publishing scientific studies in Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases • High credibility with internal stakeholders and external clinical experts • Expert knowledge of microbiology and clinical laboratory practices • Understanding of clinical laboratory workflows and real-world diagnostic use • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional team environments • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities • Proven leadership and team mentorship capabilities, including managing direct reports • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills • Highest scientific and ethical standards in external and internal engagements • Sharp business acumen and critical thinking • Results-driven, process-oriented, and effective at setting and achieving goals • Skilled in presenting complex medical/scientific data to diverse audiences • Ability to identify unmet clinical needs and evaluate product opportunities from a medical perspective • Ability to integrate scientific insights into business strategy and communicate across technical and non-technical teams • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as necessary, anticipating up to 20% travel
