📋 Description

• Perform technical activities on assigned projects under the supervision of a licensed professional engineer • Participate in technical studies, investigations, and designs • Complete electrical design for assigned projects and other project tasks • Design and prepare drawings for electrical systems for building projects • Conduct code reviews, lighting calculations, lighting and receptacle layouts, one-line diagrams, branch circuit, feeder, and service calculations • Attend meetings with owners, clients, and/or architects and prepare and distribute meeting notes • Conduct site surveys to determine existing or proposed facility conditions • Coordinate with architectural, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, structural, civil, and other disciplines • Accompany senior staff/project managers on construction site visits to monitor progress and conformance with design specifications, owner expectations, and building codes • Assist in preparing punch lists and project observation reports • Uphold TME's owner advocacy philosophy and organizational core values

🎯 Requirements

• 2-year Technical Degree or Associate Degree in an Electrical-Related Field, or 2–3 years of experience as an electrical designer for an engineering or architectural/engineering design firm, or Electrical Program/Course/Classes at a Community College plus 1–3 years’ experience as an electrician working for an Electrical Contractor, or Journeyman Electrician License • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Revit, and AutoCAD • Effective verbal and written communication skills • Detail oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment • Well versed in the industry and the Company's competitors • Excellent multitasking skills, with the ability to perform duties outside of scope of work when necessary • Ability to travel 25% of the time to job sites/office locations • Ability to perform physical tasks including climbing stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and/or poles; working in tight and confined spaces; operating machinery and/or power tools; and moving objects from 20–100 pounds • Preferred: Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering • Preferred: Experience with larger commercial projects including healthcare, higher education, laboratory, and central energy plant projects
