• Collect, compile, organize, and analyze utility consumption data and rates • Research utility rate changes and deregulated energy cost trends • Conduct energy benchmarks using EPA Energy Star and other tools • Review utility invoices, resolve errors, and create utility budgets • Assist with energy audits, field survey data analysis, and evaluation of energy or cost reduction improvements • Assist with technical reports and measurement and verification plans • Develop energy consumption baselines and adjustments through regression analysis • Coordinate with clients, utility representatives, analysts, engineers, construction managers, and commissioning agents • Review metering-system documents to confirm measurement and verification requirements • Verify facility utility performance and validate savings • Create, maintain, and distribute M&V dashboards and reports • Evaluate energy, weather, and building automation data • Identify facility operational issues and develop recommendations • Prepare reports for project stakeholders • Assist with engineering-based energy models and life-cycle cost analyses • Support engineering calculations, methodologies, and technical documentation • Perform assigned duties with minimal supervision in a team problem-solving environment
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Math, Physics, or related field • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in other Microsoft applications • Analytical and problem-solving skills • Strong attention to detail • Effective verbal and written communication skills • Detail oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast paced environment • Well versed in the industry and the Company's competitors • Excellent multitasking skills, with the ability to perform duties outside of scope of work when necessary • 5–10% travel to job sites or office location • Preferred: Engineering Intern (EI) licensure • Preferred: CEM, CMVP, CEP, CEA, EEP, or BEP certification through the Association of Energy Engineers or equivalent • Preferred: Experience with energy efficiency programs • Preferred: Experience analyzing utility data • Preferred: Basic knowledge of commercial HVAC systems • Preferred: Experience with Microsoft Power BI, Python, Tableau, Jupyter Notebook, or R • Ability to climb stairs • Ability to remain stationary, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods • Repetitive wrist, hand, and/or finger motions • Ability to adjust or move objects up to 20 pounds
