📋 Description

• Perform technical activities on assigned structural engineering projects, including technical studies, investigations, and designs • Design and prepare drawings for structural systems, including gravity and lateral loads, foundations, and framing plans • Calculate the size and orientation of structural members and components • Coordinate designs with architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, civil, and other disciplines • Perform quality control reviews of structural drawings • Write and edit structural system specifications • Attend meetings with owners, clients, and architects; prepare and distribute meeting notes • Coordinate with local authorities and municipalities to ensure compliance with standards • Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, clients, and client representatives to determine project scope • Perform engineering studies and design analyses • Mentor and direct Structural Designers • Conduct site surveys to determine existing facility conditions • Conduct construction job site visits to monitor progress and conformance with specifications, expectations, and codes • Prepare punch lists and project observation reports • Prepare Proposal Requests and Supplemental Instructions; respond to Requests for Information • Review project submittals and approve or reject them based on compliance • Assist the project manager with budgets, cost estimates, schedules, contracts, and billing • Assist in quality assurance reviews for all disciplines • Handle complex issues and perform work with a high degree of latitude • Uphold TME's owner advocacy philosophy and organizational core values • Perform other duties assigned by Company Leadership

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Architectural Engineering with a Structural Emphasis • Professional Engineer (PE) License • 6-8 years of Structural Engineering Experience as a Licensed Professional Engineer • Ability to design 10+ story buildings • Ability to design steel, wood, and concrete framing systems • Ability to design masonry load bearing walls • Ability to design complex foundation systems • Ability to design special moment frames • Ability to design seismic wind load systems • Ability to design masonry and concrete shear walls • 5+ years' experience with AutoDesk Revit BIM Software • Ability to travel 5-10% of the time to job sites/office locations • Ability to sit, stand, kneel, climb stairs, and work at a computer for prolonged periods • Ability to adjust or move objects up to 20 pounds
