📋 Description

• Independently maintain a caseload of patients seeking enrollment into clinical trials • Assess patients and objectively present available treatment options, including clinical trials • Educate patients and family members about blood cancer diagnoses, standard-of-care treatments, and clinical trial options • Help patients overcome obstacles to clinical trial enrollment • Support patients and families around decisions to end treatment • Collaborate with Information Resource Center staff to educate and support patients and families • Serve as a clinical-trial consultant to the Information Resource Center • Provide clinical trial expertise to Patient and Professional Education staff developing materials and programs • Maintain and increase knowledge of hematologic cancers, blood and bone marrow transplant, and psychosocial aspects of cancer • Contribute to process improvement for Clinical Trial Support Center procedures • Develop working relationships with internal teams, trial-site staff, investigators, sponsors, and patient and professional organizations • Apply ethical standards and federal regulations governing human-subjects research

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required • Current RN licensure required • Oncology experience preferred • Specialty training in Oncology/Hematology preferred • OCN certification preferred • Clinical research experience preferred • Master’s degree preferred; a Master’s degree in a non-nursing area considered • Ability and desire to excel in independent work and in a team environment • Spanish speaking preferred • Outstanding critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Demonstrated commitment to independent learning and skill enhancement • Expertise in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and OneNote • Reliable internet connection required, with minimum download and upload speeds of 50 Mbps
