📋 Description

• Design and build end-to-end features for products where agents and humans work together • Build products that present AI-generated output, uncertainty, and citations in a trustworthy way • Collaborate with political researchers, data scientists, and engineers to turn ambiguous problems into usable software • Use AI tools and coding agents to move quickly while judging when interface polish is valuable • Talk to users and internal stakeholders to identify and fix confusing, slow, or untrustworthy tools • Learn political strategy and build systems that encode users’ goals and thought processes • Help Democrats win the 2026 midterms and lay groundwork for the 2028 presidential election

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of experience as a product engineer, full-stack engineer, or designer-engineer hybrid • Portfolio of shipped products • Strong product and UX instincts • Ability to critique flows, sketch alternatives, and explain tradeoffs in plain language • Comfortable using coding agents to build quickly without compromising quality • Hands-on experience building products on top of LLMs, including chat interfaces, agents, and retrieval-augmented tools • Understanding of using human annotations to encode human expertise into AI systems • Eye for visual and interaction design • Familiarity with tools like Figma is a plus • Motivated by Blue Rose Research’s mission and interested in learning the progressive political ecosystem • Prior political or civic-tech experience is welcome but not required • Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States
