📋 Description

• Monitor the IBM Sterling File Gateway platform and associated file transfer infrastructure • Ensure successful processing, routing, and delivery of business-critical files • Investigate and resolve file transfer failures by replaying transactions and correcting routing issues • Coordinate resolution activities with internal and external stakeholders • Partner with business units, third-party clients and vendors, and the BMO Systems Operations Center to triage incidents • Restore service within established service level expectations • Perform production and QA environment health checks at the beginning of each shift • Escalate issues to appropriate support teams • Document findings and actions taken • Provide business verification and operational validation support for infrastructure changes • Communicate operational status, incidents, and shift handoff information to support personnel and management • Support second-shift operations for BMO's enterprise Managed File Transfer environment • Monitor, manage incidents, and restore services; production changes, application upgrades, infrastructure configuration modifications, and planned maintenance are escalated to administration and engineering teams

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience administering IBM Sterling File Gateway in a production environment • Experience with secure file transfer technologies and protocols, including SFTP • Minimum 2 years Red Hat System Administrator experience • Experience with IBM Connect:Direct (NDM) file transfer concepts, configurations, and troubleshooting • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills • Excellent customer service orientation • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Ability to remain calm and effective during high-pressure production incidents • Sound judgment, decision-making capability, and appropriate escalation management • Ability to work second shift, Monday through Friday, 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM Central Time • Self-motivated and able to work independently during off-shift hours • Detail-oriented with strong operational discipline • Ability to prioritize multiple issues simultaneously • No weekend work
