📋 Description

• Design and conduct analytics to assess, understand, and identify emerging credit risk trends and behaviors • Recommend changes to credit strategy based on quantitative and qualitative analysis, Risk Appetite, and business objectives • Manage and deliver data, reporting, and analysis to support the Indirect business • Identify opportunities to improve processes and analytics methods • Develop presentations to communicate results to key stakeholders and forums • Manage reporting and monitoring of credit quality, operations, and performance • Contribute to regulatory program delivery across applicable Tier 1 Risk Types • Design, develop, automate, and coordinate evidence-based controls across financial and non-financial risks • Advise senior leaders on strategy, initiatives, regulatory matters, and risk requirements • Serve as a subject matter expert on regulations, policies, internal controls, and risk management • Manage complex risk programs, frameworks, projects, and initiatives • Monitor industry and legislative developments and update programs • Interpret regulatory requirements, identify gaps, and support risk mitigation action plans • Recommend business priorities, resource requirements, and strategic execution roadmaps • Lead strategic initiatives, change management programs, and operational programs • Conduct independent analysis and assessment to resolve strategic issues • Build relationships and align internal and external stakeholders • Monitor performance and address issues • Develop, document, maintain, and communicate business procedures • Track exception and exemption requests and approvals • Facilitate training and promote a culture of risk identification and management • Support risk management programs, policies, processes, controls, self-assessments, remediation, measurement, and reporting • Support audits and regulatory examinations and develop action plans • Analyze program impact and effectiveness through periodic reviews • Recommend program, policy, and process adjustments • Make risk-informed decisions within BMO’s Risk Management Framework and approved Risk Appetite • Operate at an enterprise-wide level as a specialist resource to senior leaders and stakeholders • Implement changes in response to shifting trends • Perform other broader work or accountabilities as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Typically 7+ years of relevant experience • Post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience • Expert program management skills • In-depth / Expert verbal and written communication skills • In-depth / Expert analytical and problem-solving skills • In-depth / Expert influence skills • In-depth / Expert collaboration and team skills, with a focus on cross-group collaboration • Ability to manage ambiguity • In-depth / Expert data-driven decision-making skills • Seasoned professional with a combination of education, experience and industry knowledge
