📋 Description

• Serve as the AI innovation lead for the enterprise Real-World Data Strategy team • Set direction for integrating artificial intelligence and advanced analytics into RWD strategy, data evaluation, market intelligence, and evidence generation • Identify, evaluate, and champion AI-enabled data opportunities and emerging technologies • Translate AI and data science developments into practical applications aligned with BMS R&D priorities and pipeline needs • Build AI literacy, frameworks, and best practices across the team and for customers • Align AI-driven research ideas with available RWD assets to accelerate exploratory use cases • Develop and communicate a forward-looking RWD exploration strategy anchored in BMS business priorities • Translate R&D needs, pipeline goals, and evidence gaps into data investment and exploration decisions • Synthesize stakeholder input to define strategic priorities and measurable business value • Develop and present executive-ready business cases for RWD investments, acquisitions, and licensing decisions • Monitor and interpret the global RWD ecosystem, including datasets, vendors, technologies, AI platforms, partnerships, and market trends • Lead evaluation and piloting of priority RWD sources and provide investment or adoption recommendations • Establish scalable assessment frameworks, dashboards, and methodologies for evaluating RWD opportunities • Engage senior leaders and cross-functional teams through ongoing consultations • Collaborate across Strategy, Acquisition, Data Product, Governance, Customer Success, and R&D groups • Contribute to shared capabilities, best practices, and strategic frameworks across the enterprise RWD Strategy team • Identify, assess, and engage RWD data providers and external partners • Lead assessment of RWD partners and strategic partnership opportunities

🎯 Requirements

• Advanced degree in health research, life sciences, data science, quantitative sciences, or a related field • 10+ years of relevant experience in real-world healthcare data, data strategy, market intelligence, life sciences, or consulting • Demonstrated track record translating complex business and scientific problems into data-driven strategies and outcomes • Experience applying AI and advanced analytics in an RWD, life sciences, or data strategy context • Familiarity with generative AI, machine learning, or AI-enabled data tools • Experience operating as a strategic advisor to senior leaders in a complex, matrixed life sciences organization • Deep expertise in real-world data sources, data evaluation approaches, research and analytic applications, and the external RWD ecosystem • Significant experience engaging with RWD vendors and data partners, including negotiating and shaping strategic relationships • Ability to identify, evaluate, and operationalize AI-driven opportunities • Strong business acumen and ability to frame data and AI opportunities in terms of business value, pipeline impact, and investment return • Ability to synthesize complex data, AI, and market intelligence into concise recommendations for senior decision-makers • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills • Experience building evaluation frameworks and investment cases • Familiarity with analytic platforms, federated environments, and AI/data science approaches relevant to RWD access and exploration • Knowledge of RWD compliance requirements, including HIPAA and GDPR, and emerging AI considerations in healthcare data • Exceptional oral and written communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences • Collaborative, team-oriented mindset in a fast-changing, cross-functional enterprise environment • PhD preferred but not required
