📋 Description

• Manage purchasing and replenishment activities by generating and issuing purchase orders to maintain product availability while minimizing freight costs • Monitor inventory stock parameters, Weeks of Supply (WOS), and stocking profiles against market demand and sales objectives • Coordinate product phase-ins and phase-outs with Sales, Operations, and Suppliers • Manage transfers, auto-generated replenishment orders, and inventory exceptions for hub-and-spoke distribution • Lead supplier performance reviews covering aged purchase orders, delivery issues, costs, distressed inventory, and inventory rebalancing • Partner with Sales and Suppliers to improve product competitiveness, identify alternate sourcing, and disposition excess or obsolete inventory • Meet with sales leaders, store managers, and branch locations to review inventory strategies, product availability, sales performance, and growth initiatives • Ensure seasonal and high-demand products are appropriately stocked • Identify product and supplier consolidation opportunities to optimize spend and operational efficiency • Drive continuous improvement in inventory turns, SMOD reduction, stock availability, and supply chain performance • Maintain stocked SKU availability with stockouts below 3% • Keep purchase order aging below 5% of dollars on order more than 15 days past due • Respond to group mailbox inquiries within 24 hours • Maintain inventory within established Weeks of Supply targets • Reduce inbound freight costs through prepaid freight program compliance • Conduct regular reviews with suppliers, sales leadership, and branch operations

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and/or 3–5 years of equivalent experience • 2+ years of experience in inventory planning, supply chain, purchasing, replenishment, or demand planning • Experience managing purchase orders, supplier relationships, and inventory levels in a distribution, manufacturing, or wholesale environment • Experience applying demand forecasting, replenishment planning, inventory optimization, inventory turns, and Weeks of Supply (WOS) • MBA or completed MBA coursework desired • Ability to negotiate win/win situations • Ability to prioritize key tasks supporting sales growth • Ability to interface effectively with sales, operations, and factory leadership • Ability to empathize with and respond to internal and external customers • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills • Excellent computer and data analysis/management skills • Ability to handle uncertainty and revise work based on changing assumptions or conditions • Knowledge of and ability to navigate JCI Business Processes • Experience with NxTrend/SAP desired • HVAC product portfolio knowledge desired • Program/project management experience desired • Successful completion of drug screen and background check required before start date
