📋 Description

• Participate in on-the-job training for the Executive Director role • Develop increasing proficiency in people management, operations management, and clinical management • Assume responsibility for community operations and act as a contact for staff, residents, prospects, organizations, agencies, and the public • Supervise, direct, motivate, and provide support to community staff • Provide direct resident care and fill staffing gaps as needed • Maintain resident satisfaction and retention and administer the annual resident satisfaction survey • Execute proactive resident renewal programs • Execute annual operating and capital budgets with regional operations • Manage occupancy goals, revenue enhancement, expense reduction, and budget variance prevention • Hire, train, discipline, and terminate employees in accordance with company policies • Oversee building, grounds, property standards, preventative maintenance, and inspections • Maintain departmental policies, procedures, and licenses in compliance with applicable requirements • Foster staff creativity and participate on Resident Council • Develop the community's local image and represent Brookdale to public and professional organizations • Use approved sales and marketing strategies to maximize occupancy • Assist with service plan reviews involving care teams and resident families • Oversee resident admissions, healthcare management, and resident documentation compliance

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required • Minimum of two to four years of related leadership experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience • Must have a valid administrator license in states where required • Must have a valid driver's license and access to a private vehicle for business use • Knowledge of the organization, industry, and a functional discipline • Extensive understanding of technical areas gained through experience • Effective written and oral communication skills • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks • Ability to delegate assignments appropriately • Good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills • Familiarity with Microsoft software preferred • Ability to work occasional weekends, evenings, or nights as needed • Ability to be on call as needed • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds • Occasional travel required
