📋 Description

• Conduct regulatory gap analyses to identify compliance and permit-process improvements • Prepare and review permit applications for policy and legal compliance • Drive strategic permit planning for long-term environmental regulatory compliance • Lead multi-media environmental audits and assessments • Provide compliance support and reporting to stakeholders • Negotiate with regulatory agencies while advocating for organizational interests • Implement strategies to reduce environmental liability and risk • Develop tools and standards for compliance, permitting procedures, and environmental risk reduction • Lead, develop, and coach a high-performing team • Oversee workload planning, performance management, and team operations • Adapt to and execute additional assignments as needs evolve

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of related work experience in compliance and permitting management or a related field • Experience leading a team of individual contributors toward significant objectives • Typically certified in the SMS Framework and progressing through SMS competencies • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, law, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience • Broad knowledge of compliance, permitting procedures, and environmental regulations • Proficiency in strategic planning, regulatory gap analysis, and risk-reduction strategies • Proficient negotiation skills with regulatory and oversight agencies • Strong leadership and team-management skills • Strong communication and presentation skills with clients across different industries • Subject to a pre-employment background check and drug test
