📋 Description

• Lead the direction, completion, and outcome of assigned building assessment projects and related services according to ASTM standards and client-specific scopes • Manage project-by-project communication with leadership and provide updates on issues and report delivery • Conduct onsite building assessments, including Property Condition Assessments, Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, Facility Condition Assessments, environmental sampling, seismic reports, structural and roofing surveys, energy audits, accessibility assessments, equipment evaluations, construction monitoring, desk reviews, and document reviews • Survey accessible and visible building equipment and systems, structures, foundations, interiors, common areas, exterior walls, windows, roofs, and pavement • Identify significant physical deficiencies and obtain measurements and quantities for cost estimates and replacement reserves • Interview owners, tenants, service providers, local government agencies, and knowledgeable individuals • Provide photographic documentation of sites • Prepare written reports using field findings, notes, photographs, interviews, and client scope requirements • Modify scope and technical writing based on project requirements, property, geographic location, and site conditions • Develop project plans and assessments using professional and technical judgment • Review property records, repair and improvement costs, construction documents, maintenance records, safety reports, government reports, and warranty information • Act as technical lead and provide guidance for specialized projects and protocols • Communicate with Building, Zoning, and Fire Departments regarding property violations and corrective actions • Meet productivity and report-quality objectives • Deliver timely customer service and proactive solutions to client needs • Follow company policies, procedures, work instructions, quality standards, and safety requirements • Travel to client/project sites across the U.S.; onsite assignments may last up to two continuous weeks and may require overnight and weekend travel

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university in a related field; minimum of three years of related experience • Individuals without a degree may be considered with significant related experience, typically five or more years, and equivalent knowledge • Valid driver's license required with no significant MVA points/violations (clean driving record) • Knowledge of buildings, construction, technical standards, construction materials and methods, environmental concerns, cost estimating, and industry standards • Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and project management software, including Quire and AssetCalc, Microsoft Suite, and business-specific software • Ability to operate an electronic tablet in the field for live data collection • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and standard operating procedures • Ability to present information and respond to questions from clients, peers, and technical field staff • Ability to work independently and in a team environment • Must have a cell phone and supply own internet service • Must meet physical demands, including walking, standing, climbing stairs and ladders, occasional lifting up to 40 pounds, and operating a motor vehicle • Ability to successfully work from a remote location • Ability to travel by plane, motor vehicle, and train to client/project sites across the U.S.
