• Conduct Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) in accordance with ASTM standards and EPA regulations • Perform site reconnaissance, including visual inspections and interviews, to identify potential environmental concerns • Investigate historical land use using aerial photos, fire insurance maps, city directories, and regulatory databases • Analyze environmental records and regulatory agency files to assess contamination risks • Draft technically sound ESA reports with findings and recommendations • Prepare site maps, figures, appendices, and photographic logs • Collect limited building material, water, or air samples when necessary, following safety protocols • Communicate with clients, property owners, and site contacts to coordinate access and gather information • Collaborate with project managers and technical reviewers • Track project timelines, deliverables, and budgets • Stay current on environmental regulations, industry trends, and best practices • Participate in training sessions, webinars, and mentorship opportunities
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Biology, or another related field • 2+ years writing Phase I environmental site assessments • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Valid driver’s license • Willingness to travel for field work • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) • Ability to work on projects concurrently • Proven ability to deliver a quality product on time • Ability to cultivate strong relationships within a team • Internship or consulting experience is a plus but not required
