📋 Description

• Serve as direct manager for all Division Managers, the Project Team, and the ERP Specialist • Coach Division Managers through 1:1s, performance conversations, and development planning • Delegate ownership of division outcomes and hold managers accountable to KPIs and commitments • Address underperformance and lead teams through organizational, tooling, and process changes • Own aggregate divisional performance, including revenue per FTE, utilization, realization, and growth • Collaborate on capacity planning, workload balancing, and resourcing using systems-of-record data • Project manage and support BKA process and technology initiatives • Ensure client commitments are delivered on time and to standard • Escalate and guide complex or at-risk client engagements • Drive the shift from report delivery to proactive advisory and identify cross-sell/service-expansion opportunities • Lead AI adoption across the production organization through training, use cases, rollout, measurement, and coaching • Gather team feedback and partner with Operations and Shared Operations to refine tools, processes, and guidance • Coordinate priorities with the Director of Technical Accounting and Operations Manager • Represent production needs, constraints, and resourcing decisions to the Sr. Director & Head of BKA

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive accounting work • At least 1 year in leadership within public accounting, outsourced/fractional accounting, or a client-service firm • Proven track record managing a production team of 10+ accounting professionals, directly or through managers • Experience coaching and developing managers, conducting performance reviews, building development plans, and addressing underperformance • Experience owning division or department financial performance, including P&L, revenue per FTE, utilization, and realization • Background in capacity planning and workload balancing across teams or client portfolios • Experience serving as an escalation point for client relationships, ideally with startup or high-growth clients • Leadership of managers, including coaching, delegation, KPI accountability, and managing through change • Performance management using KPIs and systems-of-record data • Client escalation handling and supporting cross-sell and service-expansion opportunities • Ability to drive adoption of AI tools, systems, and processes • Advisory mindset focused on proactive advisory beyond report delivery • Hands-on comfort using AI tools in accounting and operational work • Sound judgment regarding AI value, human review, and client data protection • Cross-functional collaboration across BKA and other service lines/departments • Clear, data-backed communication to senior leadership • CPA license is a bonus • Project management background is a bonus • Working knowledge of workflow management, time-tracking systems, and client-intelligence tools such as Knownwell is a bonus • Exposure to AI or automation tools in accounting workflows is a bonus • Must confirm eligibility to work in the US
