📋 Description

• Format, edit and proofread press releases on a computer quickly and accurately • Code each release based on a client’s request for distribution • Suggest additional or alternative circuits that may benefit the client and discuss conflicting distribution instructions • Contact clients about problems that could lead to errors, including grammar or punctuation mistakes, typos, and missing contact information • Assess the authenticity of press release orders and escalate potentially problematic content • Help resolve issues using good judgment • Monitor incoming orders and ensure timely handling • Monitor online to ensure successful transmission of content • Assist other Newsroom teams with order overflow • Perform opening, closing, and shift-change duties • Maintain current knowledge of Business Wire products, services, procedures, and policies • Assist with incoming phone calls and answer client and general questions • Guide clients through submitting orders, including use of the Business Wire website • Provide membership information and set up new accounts when approved and appropriate • Collaborate with sales and other departments • Communicate technical issues to Service Desk or Web Support teams • Authorize credit card payments when necessary • Run and submit the daily distribution report to billing by the deadline • Maintain a daily activity log • Prepare and transmit news releases accurately and efficiently over Business Wire’s circuits

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree • Excellent communication and customer service skills • Ability to work effectively with a variety of people in a team environment • Ability to multitask, prioritize workflow, and follow projects through to completion under tight deadlines • Strong attention to detail • Ability to exercise good judgment • Basic technical skills and computer literacy, including proficiency in standard business applications (i.e., MS Word and Excel; Web, etc.) • Must demonstrate reliability through good attendance and punctuality • Courteous and professional phone manner • Professional demeanor • Must be flexible with schedule, as needed • Business Wire will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position. • A pre-employment background check will be required after the acceptance of an offer.
