📋 Description

• Perform Section 508 compliance tests on web products and content, including PDFs • Conduct usability testing and quality testing for DHS CISA documents and content • Create and convert existing documents into Section 508 Accessibility-compliant versions • Work collaboratively with leads, developers, and project managers • Attain DHS accessibility training, including DHS Trusted Tester accreditation • Ensure websites and documents comply with DHS mandates, policies, guidelines, Section 508 laws, IT regulations, standard operating procedures, and program processes • Maintain DHS-required 508 certifications such as Trusted Tester • Encourage outreach and partnership through a collaborative, team-centric approach

🎯 Requirements

• Ability to obtain a DHS Entrance on Duty (EOD) • Associate degree + 6 years experience or 10 years applicable experience • Proficient using an automated testing technology such as JAWS for Section 508 compliance screen reading • Minimum of 1 year of experience testing for 508 accessibility compliance • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) • Strong initiative to establish relationships, find opportunities to innovate and improve value, and provide new ideas for improvement • Ability to understand customers’ day-to-day operational needs, identify areas for improvement in business processes, and propose solutions • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • DHS Trusted Tester Certification desired
