📋 Description

• Teach synchronous online courses via Microsoft Teams • Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning and engagement • Modify instructional methods and strategies to meet diverse student needs • Communicate subject matter through synchronous online instruction • Demonstrate thorough and accurate knowledge of the field and connect it with related disciplines • Maintain current subject-matter knowledge through professional development and professional organizations • Keep student database grade records fully updated and accurate • Maintain compliance with accreditation requirements, scheduled class hours, and CIAT policies and procedures • Collaborate with staff and participate in new projects and initiatives • Support student success and contribute to an inclusive learning environment • Follow CIAT business-casual attire and workplace policies when in the office • Maintain data security, confidentiality, and secure work connections • Ensure a safe and ergonomic home office environment • Track and adhere to communicated work hours and availability expectations • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Health Information Management, Health Informatics, Health Sciences, or Healthcare Administration • Appropriate certification in RHIA required • Additional credentials such as RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, CDIP, CHDA, or CHPS preferred • At least three years’ experience in the respective field • Advanced subject matter expertise preferred • Synchronous online teaching preferred • Effective presentation skills • High level of flexibility, creativity, and dependability • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Canvas • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision • Ability to multitask • Ability to solve problems rapidly and effectively • Ability to collaborate with colleagues, academic departments, and administration • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment • Knowledge of current trends, best practices, and didactic approaches in higher education • Ability to deliver engaging and effective lesson plans for diverse student needs • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Compliance with college, Federal, State, accreditation, and institutional policies and procedures • Ability to embody CIAT’s mission, vision, purpose, and values • Current certifications in subjects taught • Dependability and excellent attendance records • Ability to type, use computers, search for and input information while speaking on the phone • Ability to maintain data security and confidentiality and use secure connections • Ability to work Monday through Friday, with possible weekend and evening hours • Ability to conduct live classes Monday and Tuesday from 6:00pm–9:30pm PST • Work must be performed while residing in California, New Mexico, Florida, or Massachusetts
