📋 Description

• Process invoices, statements, voucher check requests and other payment documentation • Review payment activities through comprehensive audits, analysis and verification • Ensure appropriate liability, expense or capital asset general ledger accounts are used • Research and respond to payment inquiries from vendors, providers, members and business partners • Establish and maintain EFT setups, including bank-relationship changes • Balance and record payments to ensure reconciliation with documentation and reports • Audit payments before release • Review, correct and reissue failed EFTs • Maintain check control logs and claims balancing information • Research issues, place stop-payment orders and generate replacement payments • Apply payables best practices and verify completeness, accuracy and approvals • Facilitate improper check endorsement processes with banking institutions • Research Payables subledger discrepancies for Financial Accounting and Reporting • Complete daily banking functions, including positive-pay research and decisions • Process mass payment requests • Use workflow and other technologies to research outstanding issues and void or reissue payments • Update systems to support research and resolution of outstanding customer and business-partner questions • Meet or exceed production, quality and throughput metrics • Use imaging and data-depository systems for research inquiries • Maintain records of voided checks and check tracers for retrieval and audit purposes • Contribute to quality initiatives and process improvements • Provide customer service and support to internal and external business partners

🎯 Requirements

• Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business • 2+ years of general accounting, accounts payable or disbursement accounting experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience • Demonstrated knowledge of Accounts Payable processes • Experience using personal computer software applications for general administrative functions • Intermediate Excel, Word, email and calendaring software experience • Ability to process detailed data accurately • Strong interpersonal skills, self-motivation, excellent communication and customer service orientation • Tolerance for ambiguity and sound decision-making • Good judgment in confidential matters • Ability to plan and organize work to meet deadlines • Ability to work flexible hours during heavy workloads • Experience with AI tools and technologies highly desired • May be required to work overtime and outside normal business hours • Background check required • For remote work: wired internet connection, minimum 5Mb upload and 10Mb download speeds, and access to a personal mobile device for MFA
