📋 Description

• Support operating room specialties and provide on-call coverage • Set up the surgical operating suite with appropriate instruments and supplies • Utilize proper aseptic techniques and standard precautions • Follow policies for medication and specimen handling • Prepare, position, and drape patients • Participate in the surgical pause to verify the correct patient and surgical site • Anticipate and adapt to surgeon preferences and patient-care variables • Contribute to updating surgeon preference materials • Perform sponge, needle, and instrument counts • Use resources to promote a cost-effective and efficient environment for patients • Perform other assigned or required duties

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of surgical technologist experience • Diploma or certificate from a college or accredited technical school • Accredited Surgical Technologist program completion and nationally recognized certification (CST or TS-C) within 6 months of hire for surgical technologists hired after 12/29/2020 • CPR certification from the American Heart Association within 60 days of hire • Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate • Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate • Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate • Preferred: 1 year of travel experience • Preferred: 5 years of surgical technologist experience • Military surgical technologist programs accepted • Must comply with HIPAA, privacy and information-security policies, the Code of Business Conduct, applicable laws, and company training requirements
