📋 Description

• Investigate privacy incidents and conduct risk assessments • Coordinate and draft breach notifications as appropriate or required • Provide training support to junior staff on privacy incident investigations and documentation • Manage and mature aspects of the privacy program, including privacy pop-ins, monthly privacy community meetings, and organizational privacy training review • Identify and recommend process improvement opportunities • Respond to, resolve, and follow up on assigned issues while meeting regulatory and self-imposed SLAs • Develop and maintain privacy-related policies, standards, guidelines, and processes • Lead privacy efforts for HIPAA Risk Assessments and other applicable audits and assessments • Lead physical monitoring to ensure PHI is secure in workspaces • Review and approve new or revised member and marketing materials from a privacy perspective • Lead privacy efforts supporting Privacy Impact Assessments • Communicate the privacy program and promote a culture of privacy within the organization • Monitor new privacy laws, enforcement activity, and other privacy-domain developments • Coordinate with key internal stakeholders • Identify and report potential risks, non-compliance, and alleged violations • Perform other assigned job duties

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience is required • Five (5) years working as a privacy professional or in a related role is required • Five (5) years' experience in a Managed Care Organization or other healthcare-related field is preferred • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint • Proficient in keyboarding • Knowledge of the privacy regulatory environment • Competent working in a high-growth business environment • Working knowledge of health plan policies and procedures • Strong analytical skills and ability to assess complex privacy risks • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and reprioritize • Effective problem-solving skills with attention to detail • Ability to develop, prioritize, and accomplish goals • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Strong interpersonal skills and high level of professionalism • Ability to work independently and within a team environment • Effective active listening and critical thinking skills • Customer service and member-focused orientation • Ability to establish effective working relationships • Privacy certification such as CIPP/US, CIPT, or CHP preferred • General office environment; may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
