📋 Description

• Deliver category strategic sessions and develop roadmaps and prioritization of sourcing needs • Mentor and coach sourcing team members serving the category • Conduct continuous market research and analysis, including competitiveness, price benchmarking, ROI analysis, and vendor or product innovation research • Identify consolidation and bundling opportunities to reduce risk, drive standardization, and improve cost efficiency • Collaborate with Legal on contract review, approval, and contract term recommendations • Manage and improve supplier diversity and support local economic development programs • Research internal customer needs and provide strategic supplier recommendations • Develop and implement corporate sourcing and vendor-relations policies and procedures • Support Investment Proposal, ROI, and other financial analyses; monitor vendor performance against ROI assumptions with Finance • Minimize financial risks to CareSource • Conduct lease-versus-purchase analyses and recommendations with Treasury • Deliver enterprise-wide contracting, vendor management, and strategic sourcing services • Manage and adapt contracting-process services, participants, and SOPs to evolving organizational needs • Coordinate vendor management training and provide category-specific guidance and development • Represent SSVR as a departmental subject matter expert • Drive category KPIs in alignment with department KPIs • Partner with executive leadership, business owners, staff, and suppliers to source requirements timely and monitor contractual relationships • Establish strong internal-customer and supplier partnerships • Perform other requested job duties

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, materials management, logistics or related discipline or equivalent years of relevant work experience required • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in strategic sourcing, vendor relations, contract development, procurement process/policy and negotiation required • Experience in process improvement, training, effective communication, and collaboration • Broad category expertise covering products and services, with emphasis on procurement in a health care setting • Knowledge and understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements • Thorough understanding of strategic sourcing principles, including spend analysis, strategy development, market analysis, requirements definition, SOW development, RFP development and management, vendor negotiations, contract development, vendor onboarding and management, and contract management • Strong vendor relations and negotiation skills • Process improvement and training skills • Decision-making, problem-solving, time management, organizational, analytical, metrics, critical thinking, and attention-to-detail skills • Advanced interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills • Ability to interact with all levels of leadership, influence change, defuse tension, resolve conflict, and lead cross-functional teams and initiatives • Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously and deliver documented and measurable results • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint • Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) credentials preferred
