📋 Description

• Support the X-Ray Systems business as a Field Service Engineer based in Maryland • Build credibility and trust through proactive customer visits • Communicate regularly with customers and internal stakeholders about customer and equipment issues • Identify and resolve customer issues using the appropriate escalation process • Provide exceptional customer service by managing entitlements, expectations, commitments, and arrival times • Understand customers’ businesses and competitive environments • Generate service revenue by offering solutions aligned with the service portfolio • Adopt, develop, and implement best practices • Mentor others and participate in the regional work team • Improve team processes • Follow state and federal regulatory, training, quality, and safety requirements • Manage company assets, labor time, parts, tools, test equipment, purchase orders, vehicles, and expenditures • Complete administrative duties including timesheets, service work orders, expense reports, FCOs, preventive maintenance, installation documents, and site/service documentation • Independently diagnose and resolve electronic, network, mechanical, equipment, and customer problems • Complete preventive maintenance, field change orders, installations, and related tasks • Provide telephone, remote technical support, and remote diagnostics when requested • Service and maintain laser printers, networks, CR and DR X-ray imaging equipment, radio fluoroscopy equipment, and other hospital equipment at customer sites

🎯 Requirements

• Associate Degree in electronics or equivalent combination of education and experience • 4+ years of experience in diagnostic imaging or 6+ years of experience in the electronics industry, preferably in a field service environment • Knowledge of computers and networking • PC competency, including Microsoft Office Suite • Ability to apply electronic, mechanical, and networking theory to install, diagnose, and repair equipment • Knowledge and use of necessary tools and test equipment • Ability to understand and utilize technical vocabulary • Ability to read and interpret schematics and site drawings with minimal assistance • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, self-discipline, and autonomy to work independently in a high-pressure environment • Ability to adapt to changing work requirements in a complex, fast-paced environment • Ability to operate effectively in a team-driven environment and share knowledge • Exceptional customer service skills • Written and verbal communication skills with various levels of employees and customers • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and driving record compliant with Fleet Policy • Must live within the territory • Required to adhere to customer-required certification/credentialing for facility admission • Experience with X-Ray or complex medical devices and knowledge of Carestream equipment desired
