📋 Description

• Support the X-Ray Systems business as a Field Service Engineer in Northern Virginia • Manage customer relationships through technical expertise • Install, troubleshoot, service, and maintain equipment at customer sites • Service laser printers, networks, CR and DR X-ray imaging equipment, radio fluoroscopy equipment, and other hospital equipment • Conduct proactive customer visits and provide regular communications about customer and equipment issues • Identify and resolve customer issues using escalation processes • Provide customer service by managing entitlements, expectations, commitments, and arrival times • Understand customers’ businesses and competitive environments • Generate service revenue by offering solutions aligned with the service portfolio • Adopt, develop, and implement best practices • Mentor others and participate in regional team process improvements • Follow state and federal regulatory, training, quality, and safety requirements • Manage company assets, labor time, parts, tools, equipment, vehicles, and expenditures • Complete administrative documentation, including timesheets, service work orders, expense reports, FCOs, PMs, installation documents, and site/service documentation • Independently diagnose and resolve electronic, network, mechanical, equipment, and customer issues • Complete preventive maintenance, field change orders, installations, and related tasks • Provide telephone, remote technical support, and remote diagnostics when requested • Travel within the territory, including daily driving and occasional overnight stays

🎯 Requirements

• Associate Degree in electronics or equivalent combination of education and experience • 4+ years of experience in the electronics industry, preferably in a field service environment • Experience in diagnostic imaging is a plus • Knowledge of computers and networking • PC competency, including Microsoft Office Suite • Ability to apply electronic, mechanical, and networking theory to install, diagnose, and repair equipment • Ability to use necessary tools and test equipment • Ability to understand and utilize technical vocabulary • Ability to read and interpret schematics and site drawings with minimal assistance • Strong organizational and multitasking skills • Self-discipline and autonomy to work independently in a high-pressure environment • Ability to adapt to changing work requirements in a complex, fast-paced environment • Ability to operate effectively in a team-driven environment and share knowledge • Exceptional customer service skills • Written and verbal communication abilities • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and driving record compliant with Fleet Policy • Must adhere to customer-required certification/credentialing for facility admission
