📋 Description

• Record transactions, code expenses, and maintain accurate general ledgers for assigned nonprofit clients • Process vendor bills, prepare invoices, record deposits, and follow up on outstanding balances • Complete monthly bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies • Support month-end close tasks, journal entries, and supporting schedules across assigned client engagements • Track restricted funds and grant activity accurately • Assist with audit and tax preparation as needed • Collaborate with the Director of Bookkeeping and Finance team across engagements • Respond to routine client accounting questions • Maintain organized financial records, follow documented procedures, and flag process improvement opportunities

🎯 Requirements

• 1–3 years of relevant bookkeeping or transactional accounting experience; experience in a small business, office management, or professional services setting is welcome • Experience managing books for multiple entities or clients at the same time is a plus • Familiarity with nonprofit accounting, including restricted funds and grants, and basic GAAP principles is a plus • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel • Experience with Sage Intacct is a plus • QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification is a plus • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with comfort managing deadlines in a fully remote environment • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is a plus, but relevant experience is what matters most • Clear written and verbal communication skills
