📋 Description

• Lead the national strategy and execution of embedded Clinical Operational Specialist programs across strategic customer accounts • Design and implement scalable operating models improving specimen acquisition, processing quality, turnaround time, QNS and rejection rates, collection volume, site coverage, and laboratory performance • Directly manage and develop Embedded Clinical Operations Managers overseeing processors and phlebotomists at customer sites • Build a high-performance culture through coaching, performance management, and professional development • Oversee program budgets, headcount planning, resource allocation, hiring, onboarding, staffing coverage, and retention • Serve as the primary clinical-operational liaison and trusted advisor to hospital, laboratory, medical, pathology, oncology, and multidisciplinary leadership • Support strategic account planning and enterprise oncology relationships with Commercial and oncology sales leadership • Ensure embedded clinical activities comply with Caris processes, policies, scope-of-practice requirements, and compliance standards • Partner with Lab Operations, Quality, and Compliance to coordinate workflows, mitigate risk, and maintain execution readiness • Govern client-specific program customization, including site coverage models, operating rhythms, role responsibilities, and success metrics • Ensure specimen acquisition and handling comply with HIPAA, CLIA, CAP, OSHA bloodborne pathogen standards, and customer policies • Oversee vendor credentialing, badging, immunization, and site-access compliance • Act as an escalation point for complex client-facing operational challenges • Provide executive-level reporting on performance, risks, opportunities, and strategic outcomes • Own and report performance metrics against annual targets • Contribute to external thought leadership, publications, and strategic narratives about precision oncology operations

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required • 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in clinical operations, laboratory services, healthcare operations, or related fields • Experience managing geographically dispersed clinical or operational teams, including people managers • Strong understanding of anatomic pathology, specimen workflows, phlebotomy operations, oncology diagnostics, and laboratory quality metrics • Experience leading client-facing operational programs within complex hospital or health systems environments • Ability to meet and maintain customer vendor credentialing requirements, including background check, drug screen, and immunization/health screening standards • Experience embedding clinical or operational personnel within customer or partner organizations • Familiarity with oncology care pathways, multidisciplinary clinical teams, and precision medicine workflows • Working knowledge of Lean, process improvement, and quality management methodologies • Experience leveraging reporting tools to communicate performance and drive decisions • Ability to operate effectively during organizational change and evolving business priorities • Ability to stand for extended periods • Ability to lift and move 25 lbs • Successful completion of pre-employment criminal background check, drug screening, applicable credit check, and reference verification
