• Coordinate across IT teams, clinical operations, patient access, marketing/communications, and Epic build teams to define requirements and validate workflows • Configure communication logic and support testing • Manage overall change implications for a cross-functional healthcare IT project • Manage the ASC implementation project and an additional project to reopen an L&D unit at an Illinois hospital • Manage Epic build, technology requirements and installation, and third-party applications • Manage budgets, timelines, and project deliverables for Epic, clinical/business applications, and infrastructure projects • Build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, vendors, project managers, and other stakeholders • Scope projects and manage vendor contracts for IT system integrations • Prepare and deliver weekly status reports and monthly progress reports • Maintain a RAID log tracking risks, actions, issues, and decisions • Manage multiple priorities and projects concurrently • Identify and resolve project issues using problem-solving and analytical skills • Lead IT system migrations, transitions, and integrations • Develop and implement change management strategies for cultural and operational shifts associated with IT integrations
• 5+ years of work experience • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field is strongly preferred • BSN/RN, PharmD, MD, or similar clinical education pathway with comparable IT project management experience and additional advanced degrees such as an MHA or MBA will be considered • PMP certification or equivalent is desired • Familiarity with Epic (EMR) is required; the role does not seek an Epic analyst • Prior full-cycle Epic and full IT implementation experience for an ambulatory service center is strongly preferred • Proven vendor management experience, including contract negotiation, contract review, and contract administration • Experience working within a large healthcare system with multi-state operations • Strong communication skills for communicating project updates, risks, and issues to stakeholders at all levels • Strong attention to detail in project management and execution • Demonstrated organizational change management experience, including developing and implementing change strategies, engaging employees, and ensuring smooth transitions during IT integrations • Experience using modern PPM project tracking solutions such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, and ServiceNow is strongly preferred • Willingness to work within Central Time Zone business hours • Willingness to travel occasionally for major milestones (<10%)
