Cast & Crew serves film, television, streaming and live entertainment productions, delivering B2B SaaS products plus specialized payroll and workforce support for production employers and crews.

📋 Description

• Direct all general accounting functions covering operating expenses, capital expenditures, internal payroll and benefits costs, and related balance sheet accounts • Oversee accounting and standalone reporting for the CCFS lending business and Open Health trust • Review account reconciliations and improve reconciliation workflows, reporting flows, and close timelines • Maintain the internal control environment and lead control documentation assessment and remediation • Deliver comprehensive monthly and quarterly financial reports with variance analysis against budgets, forecasts, and prior-period performance • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior management • Support the annual 401(k) audit, tax-related audits, external financial statement audit, and quarterly internal compliance reviews • Manage regulatory compliance filings, including Census, Department of Labor, and Canadian Statistics Surveys • Collaborate with HR, Payroll, Accounting, Finance, Systems, and Technology teams • Partner on system enhancements, integrations, and automation initiatives • Champion continuous improvement and identify automation opportunities • Establish, document, and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls in accordance with GAAP • Lead, coach, and develop a geographically distributed accounting team • Drive strategic hiring, goal setting, performance management, and professional development • Lead special projects and ad hoc initiatives

🎯 Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting required • Minimum of 8 years of progressive, broad-based accounting and finance experience • At least 3 years in a management role • Experience in a complex, multi-entity organization strongly preferred • In-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) • Strong systems experience, including large enterprise financial systems and business intelligence tools • Hands-on experience with Oracle products preferred • Ability to partner with technology teams on system enhancements, integrations, and process automation • Excel proficiency, including IF Statements, Macros, Pivots, and VLOOKUP • High attention to detail • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities and deliver timely, accurate results under tight deadlines • People-first leadership mindset with strong emotional intelligence • Proactive, intellectually curious, and energized by process improvement • Experience in the technology, software, services, or entertainment industry a plus • CPA preferred
