📋 Description

• Perform daily operations tasks during scheduled shifts • Participate in a weekly on-call rotation • Conduct system maintenance and patching during scheduled maintenance • Provide daily operational care and maintenance of server environments • Troubleshoot, triage, and resolve issues across all environments • Assist with scheduled code releases as needed • Manage load balancing equipment and configurations as needed • Use configuration management tools to maintain and update the environment • Ensure platform integrity by following compliance and security standards • Build new servers using corporate virtualization infrastructure • Participate in project work under supervision as needed • Serve as an escalation point for Level 1 System Administrators • Perform other duties assigned by management

🎯 Requirements

• 2-5 years’ experience managing Linux hosts in production environments • 2-5 years’ experience with VMWare virtualization products in a production environment • 2-5 years’ experience with Apache webservers, Apache Tomcat, Java, and Perl • Experience with event management, incident handling, and problem resolution • High technical aptitude and motivation to take on challenges • Strong communication, documentation, and analytical skills • LAMP stack experience (desired) • Exposure to Puppet, Chef, or other configuration management tools (desired) • Experience with source control such as git, svn, cvs, or similar (desired) • Exposure to Jenkins, Travis CI, or other automation tools (desired) • Familiarity with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or other SQL databases (desired)
