📋 Description

• Provide project management expertise across multiple technology stacks and services • Understand clients’ end goals and provide a consultative approach aligned with desired outcomes and strategy • Advise project teams on project delivery, CDW processes, project management best practices, and delivery • Build and maintain relationships with project stakeholders and act as a CDW steward for quality • Identify success criteria, involve stakeholders in key decisions, and link project outcomes to strategic business initiatives • Negotiate changes to cost, scope, effort, schedules, solution, and resource commitments • Gather project information, assess impacts, document mitigation steps, and communicate with teams and clients • Independently manage medium to large projects requiring complex cross-functional collaboration • Track project profitability, budgets, resources, actuals versus planned hours, and financial reporting • Ensure time, expenses, and invoices are accurately tracked and approved • Validate project scope and estimates; determine whether new Statements of Work or Change Orders are needed • Identify additional services opportunities and communicate them to sellers • Ensure Statement of Work deliverables are completed and perform quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle • Establish, monitor, adjust, and communicate project tasks and schedules with engineering and partner resources • Identify resources, optimize billable schedules, and adjust assignments to support client satisfaction and profitability • Identify, document, track, and communicate project risks and issues; drive timely resolution • Manage equipment, software, licensing, outside services procurement, and delivery schedules • Document project outcomes and lessons learned and contribute to Services PMO process improvements • Hold project team members accountable for scope and schedule commitments • Build client trust, establish credibility, diffuse difficult situations, and build consensus • Lead teams to meet project success factors and exceed client expectations • Inspect delegated work and coach and mentor Associate Project Managers • Maintain industry knowledge through research, conferences, training seminars, and professional associations • Determine, manage, and deliver appropriate project documentation, including communication plans, schedules, status reports, quality plans, closure summaries, budgets, and risk plans • Lead and facilitate live and virtual meetings; keep meetings focused and publish follow-up items • Adapt communication style and medium to audience needs • Prepare and deliver difficult or complex information and communicate technology recommendations from a business perspective • Anticipate client and project needs and communicate potential solutions • Develop and manage detailed schedules and work plans

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and 4 years of experience in project management or four years of CDW Services experience OR 8 years of experience in project management or 8 years of CDW Services experience • Two or more years of experience leading small to medium scale projects in a professional services organization • Project management or agile consulting experience advising clients on delivery best practices across multiple technology stacks, such as Cloud, Security, and Infrastructure • Ability to support presales activities and identify new sales opportunities • Ability to participate productively in virtual teams • Experience project managing projects with several technologies • Demonstrated accountability for projects and results, fiscal responsibility, and team leadership • Working knowledge of formal project management methodologies • Proficiency with Microsoft Project/Office • Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills, including presenting technology recommendations from a business perspective • Ability to handle sensitive/confidential information with discretion • Ability to balance multiple priorities, adapt to changing business needs, and meet deadlines • Ability to work weekends and/or off hours as necessary • Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% or as needed to CDW locations, meetings, and client sites • Ability to understand and apply oral and written instructions, organize and prioritize work, multitask, and use common sense • PMP and/or Agile Certification(s), a plus • Experience using Waterfall and Agile methods, including Scrum and Kanban, a plus • Curiosity, a learner’s mindset, willingness to engage with evolving technology and tools, and readiness to explore, adapt, and grow with AI
