📋 Description

• Generate sales of MICRO Technologies to existing and new customers within an assigned sales territory • Travel throughout the assigned territory and make sales calls on existing and prospective customers • Build long-term relationships with dairy, consulting veterinary practices, consulting nutritionists, and state livestock associations • Present and demonstrate new technologies, explaining features, advantages, benefits, requirements, costs, performance expectations, savings, updates, usability, and technical support • Quote prices and credit terms and prepare sales contracts • Transfer established customer relationships to appropriate customer representatives and make periodic follow-up calls • Compile and maintain prospective customer target lists • Assist field support computer technicians with technology management system installation and repair • Assist installation personnel with equipment and machinery installations • Provide secondary support for technologies by identifying equipment problems and recommending operational and servicing improvements • Coordinate and assist with technology systems training • Participate in sales efforts with Territory Managers and Sales/Service Representatives • Prepare accurate and timely business transaction, expense, and sales call reports

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with one to three years of outside sales experience, or a minimum of ten years’ related experience without a Bachelor’s degree • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and organizational skills • Proven ability to sell • Valid driver’s license and good driving record • Ability to travel overnight on occasion, up to 50% of the time • Knowledge of customers and the market territory • Ability to perform decision making, problem solving, reasoning, teamwork, customer service, flexibility/adaptability, time management, sense of urgency, and project management
